HOME CARE TIP #2. See anything wrong here? A home owner should never plant trees this close to their house’s foundation. This is a common item we see as a Home Inspector during a Home Inspection.
When tree roots growing under a foundation it can easily hold moisture up against your house. It can damage your roof and start to heave up the section of concrete it’s growing under and wreak havoc on your poor home. When Vegetation is that close to the side of house it can choke airflow and therefore cause the natural drying process around that part of home to slow down tremendously causing moisture saturation issues.
When you see something like this at your home cut the tree down immediately and house will thank you later.
